philosophy
Our philosophy is to offer a unique experience that will
unveil the many facets of France’s gourmet world: from 3-star
Michelin restaurants to country farm restaurants; first-growth
wines to local vineyards, from truffle-hunting in a remote oak
forest to oyster tasting in a fisherman’s hut all within
an intimate atmosphere.
Delikatours will personally accompany each group and act as bilingual,
cultural and gourmet guides. To ensure perfect peace of mind and
superior service for their guests, Delikatours provides privately
chauffeured transportation between the hotel and all the destinations
featured in the itinerary.
Who are we?
Anke Wright is passionate about France. She discovered
her love for French culture very early on and gradually learnt
all about the wines and culinary treasures that make the country
so unique.
Endlessly travelling through the back routes of the various wine
regions, Anke encountered treasures away from the typical tourist
destinations and gradually Anke started to envisage her business
plan.
After working for a number of well-known French companies, including
a prestigious Champagne House in Reims, she met her future husband
Julien in 2006. They both gave up their jobs in a luxury cosmetic
firm to travel round the world for a year.
She came back inspired with a clear goal of sharing her passion
for travelling, French culture, French wine and French cuisine.
The remarkable outcome of this goal is Delikatours. In her venture,
she is assisted by her husband Julien who, as a typical Frenchman,
is not only a wine lover and true gourmet but also very knowledgeable
on France’s regional intricacies.
